Whats going on guys, today we have a double posting! Arent you excited, lol.
This isnt going to be a full review ( as the mini series isnt finshed yet), but here is my take on it as far.
I love it. Lol. Anyone that knows me knows i love Spider-Man! (and X-Men to but we'll get to that another time..) Over the past few months (maybe a year tops), weve been getting mini Carnage series. Cult of carnage, and some other stuff basically summing up how carnage is returning (even tho Cletus Cassidy is dead still after The Sentry flew him to space ripping him apart), I mean I can go on and on about Carnage, lol, but long story short he is BACK! And he is ripping out the spines of everyone who ever had possession of a symbiote, Carnage, Venom, or any other offspring of the symbiotes (trynna make this long story short here, lol). So we have Spider-Man and Eddie Brock teaming up to stop this madness.
Back in May 2018, Spider-Man issue #800 came out and it rapped up the storyline of Norman Osborne as the Red Goblin (The Green Goblin in possession of the Carnage Symbiote). Great storyline, Peter convinced Norman to fight him like a man and take off symbiote. Norman did and ultimatly thats how Peter beat him. This left Norman insane beleiveing that he is the true Cletus Cassidy ( i love a good psycho story).
Fast forward to today, Carnage is back, broke everybody out of Ravencroft, including Norman. Every prisoner got a peice of the carnage symbiote so each one is possessed and basically following Carnage commands. But one of these inmates isnt possesed, Carnage left him with a carnage symbiote but to be 'un-mind-controlled' (if thats even a word), and that inmate is Norman Osborn, who (as previously stated) is already insane believing he is Carnage himself.
So we have a bunch of hijinks, bunch of people dying or just getting beat up, but this leads up to Amazing Spider-Man issue #30. This is a Tie in, but a good one, as it leaves us with these two characters going at it, the rematch since a year ago in issue 800. Spidey is already tired and beat up from fighting alongside Venom against the other carnage symbiotes, so of course he is not at full strength. And he is going to need to be to defeat any of these final bosses (lol). Attached you can see the final page of issue 30, where Normans rendition of Carnage stands above the seemingly beat Spider-Man, and I must say, I love the art! Even more, the art of a torn apart super hero, lol. It seems Spider-Man is worn out and about to lose.. Also attached is a screen grab of the cover of issue 31 which is now released and I'm going to read it tomorow morning. How in the world will Spider-Man recover from this? How can he beat Norman-Carnage this time? I doubt his tactic from last time will work again.. And then how will he and Venom (who's original symbiote left him for the hulk, who also just lost, smh, and now has a culmination of other symbiotes), defeat the reincarnation of Carnage and prevent him from summoning the Symbiote God Knull? Yea, it's alot to go over, lol, but I just wanted to share these 2 images which left me with a taste for more!
Peace out peeps
